Transfer of Technology
PFDC undertake transfer of technology programmes for end users through demonstrations, gosthies, film shows, farmer- interaction and TV talks, etc. Practical demonstration-cum-training programmes are also organized frequently in collaboration with state govt.

The PFDC plays an important role in technology development, assessment, refinement, and dissemination through training of farmers and inservice extension personnel.

The PFDC is organizing a large number of extension activities to accelerate dissemination of technologies.

The PFDC also adopted group approach for dissemination of technologies by organizing youth club as an effective mechanism for dissemination of information.

The technology developed by PFDC is widely adopted across the country which includes high density planting, canopy management, meadow orcharding in guava, wedge grafting rejuvenation of old and senile orchards, plastic mulching in fruit crops, etc. and PFDC efforts starting since 2003 have given a direction to efficient water management in fruit crops.

More than 92 demonstration trials on meadow orcharding, high density planting and canopy management, wedge grafting, drip irrigation and plastic mulching have been conducted in different locations of U.P., Maharashtra, Bihar, Haryana, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Karnataka.

Training programmes on microirrigation, plastic
mulching, use of plastics in nursery management,
plant propagation, hi tech nursery, high density
planting, canopy management, meadow orchard in
guava and rejuvenation of old and senile orchards of
guava and aonla for officers, farmers, entrepreneurs
are being organized by the PFDC regularly under
NHM and MI programme.
