Activities of PFDC

The PFDC provides advice to farmers and horticultural officers on the following aspects :·

• Production of plant material and management including establishment of hi tech nursery.
• Greenhouse technology for year round plant multiplication of mango, guava, aonla and bael.
• Use of plastics in nursery management.
• Utility of plastic mulching in mango, guava and aonla orchards.
• Microirrigation – planning, design, installation and routine maintenance operations, etc.
• Establishment of orchards and their management.
• High density planting and canopy management in guava, mango and aonla.
• Meadow orcharding in guava.
• Rejuvenation of old and unproductive orchards.
• Precision farming.
